What I’m Doing Now
This is a “now” page, that tells you a bit about what I am currently focused on at work.
Current Programs
My previous large, multi-organization, cross-functional program to deeply integrate Heroku with Agentforce, Salesforce, and Data Cloud has begun to spin down for the year after Dreamforce in October. I am currently leading a Cost Savings Program focused on reducing the cost to serve of our infrastructure as well as optimizing the costs incurred by our Customer Zero teams.
Cost Savings Program
Infrastructure Cost to Serve Reduction: Leading an ongoing effort to reduce Heroku’s internal cost to serve, realizing $4.75M in annual savings for FY26 by optimizing AWS services including RDS, EC2, S3, and Postgres, decommissioning legacy resources, and rightsizing non-critical infrastructure.
Customer Zero Cost Optimization: Leading a one quarter (3-month) long effort that has already achieved a 5% reduction of our $21M annual internal Cost to Serve (CTS) during Q4 by identifying and executing the decommissioning, deletion, or migration of multiple high-cost, underutilized applications.
FY27 Planning: Currently I am also planning for next fiscal year where we are targeting an additional $11M in potential CTS to ensure continued optimization internally and with our Customer Zero teams. We will also be planning a system to gate the spinning up of new resources and a quarterly attestation program required to maintain existing resources.
